The brief
The client wanted one room in the house that felt separate from everything else: somewhere to read, think and switch off.
Our approach
We committed to a single colour and let texture do the rest. Panelled walls, a soft wool rug, one generous chair and a single warm light, so the room feels enclosed without feeling heavy.
The outcome
A room that people ask to sit in. The palette is restrained, the furniture is limited to what is used, and nothing competes for attention.
